Schedule of Events for Fall and Winter 2020

Like all of you, we are growing tired of being in the middle of a Major Historical Event.  The global pandemic has caused huge changes to all of our lives, and made it impossible for us to invite you into the museum or to schedule our usual community events.

Sadly, our special mini pop-up exhibit on Wakefield’s Women during Women’s History Month (March) and a brand new major exhibit on Wakefield Schools have been postponed to 2021 (we hope!)

Our regular bi-monthly open days have been canceled  IN COORDINATION WITH TOWN  HEALTH AND SAFETY GUIDELINES
But — we are planning some virtual events.

Special Events:

Friday, October 30th, 6:30 p.m..   Twilight Tour of the Old Burying Ground

This event will be VIRTUAL THIS YEAR.

The tour will begin promptly at 6:30.  Because attendance is somewhat limited, you might want to log in earlier to assure your place.  If there is demand, there will be a second tour at a time TBD.

We are excited to be able to show close-up photographs of the gravestones discussed, offering a view that our ordinary tours cannot.

And — for the first time, viewers from other areas will be able to join the tour without leaving their homes!

*Virtual Tour of the Museum.  We are hoping to have this up and running by the end of September.  Follow this page for more information.
